WE REMEMBER

MEMORIAL DAY

I had the honor of attending a Memorial Day service this morning. Among the speakers and the ceremony there was a happening that caught my eye and gave me a lump in my throat. After the Brevard County Sheriff’s Color Guard presented the colors, the American flag touched the ground when the pole holding it collapsed. A vet jumped to his feet, ran to the flag, picked it up and held it until the Color Guard returned. That was the flag he fought for. The freedom and liberty it represents should never be taken for granted. Appreciate your freedom. Thank a vet.

We will honor them today at 5PM on the DRIVE @ 5 on AM 840 WPGS and online at Local840.com 840 LOGO
