Keeping You Pointed in the Right Direction

Extreme Rethink

II Corinthians 5:17-21

God has called of us into the ministry of reconciliation. Just as Christ has reconciled us back to God … we as Christians need to help reconcile others back to Christ!

This is especially true in the case of those who have dropped out simply because they believe there is no way they can ever get back to where they were.

I. LEAVING YOUR PAST BEHIND YOU

Leave your past where it is … the past. If you have sinned then repent. If you have repented then demonstrate it. If you are demonstrating then be from the guilt and shame. Romans 8:1

II. LEAVING YOUR PAST IS A DELIBERATE ACT

Confront old habits and leave them behind. Remember, God has cast your sins into the sea of His forgetfulness.

III. LEAVING YOUR PAST IS A CONTINUAL PROCESS

The Accuser of the Brethren loves to remind you of your past sins, failures, and disappointments. “I hear the Accuser roar of the ills that I have done. I know them well and a thousand But Jehovah findeth none!” When Satan gets a shot in … don’t dwell … move!

Remember, God does not consult your past to determine your future!
